ISHWAR CAMP – Sanatan Dharm Mandir Rajouri Garden, Delhi on 28Jan.2014 (Pre-screening) & 04 Feb.2014 (Fitment) ISHWAR in collaboration with Sanatan Dharm Mandir, conducted an artificial limb/Limb Support fitment screening Camp at Sanatan Dharm Mandir, Rajouri Garden New Delhi on 28th Jan. 2014. Main limb fitting camp was conducted on 04th Feb, 2014 at same premises.
ISHWAR Society had conducted an Artificial Limb/Caliper Fitment Camp in Baljeet Nagar, Delhi on 23th Sep. 2011. Mr. Rajendra Kumar (Sr. Prosthetist) was In-charge of the Camp.
A total of 34 physically challenged had been registered for fitments and their measurements were taken on 23th Sep. 2011. There were 27 beneficiaries with 23 calipers and 04 prostheses fitted.
A limb/caliper fitment camp was organized at our Delhi Centre. Of the 36 patients who reported for the camp. 29 were prescribed and fitted with prostheses/calipers.
Distribution of Wheel Chairs & Wheel Walkers on World Disability Day 03 December .2009
A function was organized by the Society at the residence of Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Honourable Chief Minister of NCT, Delhi on 03 Dec. 2009, The World Disability Day. She distributed 11 Wheel Chairs & 7 Wheel Walkers to the deserving physically challenged on behalf of ISHWAR.
Limb Fitting Camp under Social Welfare Department (Delhi State)
ISHWAR Society displayed its products and activities at a camp organized by the above department on 25 Feb. 2010 at Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital, Jaffarpur, Najafgarh, Delhi. A number of enquiries were generated.
In the month of May 2008, the Society was approached by Trustees of Justice Gopal Singh Charitable Hospital, 22-A, Mianwali Colony, Gurgaon to start its activities at the Hospital. Accordingly, Brig. Bajaj and Maj. Grover visited the hospital in the month of May 08 and discussed ISHWAR’s services at the hospital with the trustees. It was decided that a Prosthetist would visit the Hospital twice a week & attend to patients. The Sub-Centre started functioning from 06 June 08. It has a workbench and facility for examination and taking of casts. (The fabrication work is done at the New Delhi Centre of ISHWAR).
Encouraged by the response received from New Delhi’s ISHWAR P&O Centre, opening of another centre was being considered by the Society when an opportunity arose by way of an offer from DARSHAN Trust in Jaipur to set up an ISHWAR Centre within their premises at Jaipur. A full fledged P&O Centre was subsequently established within the premises of DARSHAN-5 Bambala Institutional Area, Off. Tonk Road, Sanganer, Jaipur and it was inaugurated on 22 Sep.07 by Mrs. Neerja Lath, Trustee, of DARSHAN Trust. A number of disable people have since benefitted from this P&O centre and their number is gradually on the increase.
ISHWAR Mission was held in Jan.2006. The team carried out post polio corrective surgeries in Chennai and Delhi and the after care and fitments were taken up by ISHWAR Society. Altogether, 126 young children were benefitted with the joint effort of Ishwar and Manny’s Caring Hands of U.S.A. Following cases were undertaken:-

Donation of Mobility Aids
Mr. Klaus Wagener, an Architect & Philanthropist from Germany, donated 10 wheel chairs and 5 walkers to ISHWAR for supporting the needy disables. The donation programmed for World Disability Day was eventually held on 15 Dec.05. at the official residence of Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of NCT of Delhi, who personally presented the mobility aids and the state-of-the-art wheel chairs and wheel walkers to the disabled residents of Delhi, on the occasion.
The Mission was undertaken in the month of Feb.2005. The team carried out post polio corrective surgeries in Chennai and Delhi and the `after care’ and fitments were taken up by ISHWAR. A total of 7 surgeries were performed and following 27 fitments were done:-

In its early years, the Society provided educational scholarships to the deserving children of weaker sections of the society. This has now become a regular annual practice. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of the performance of the children and the same is continuing till date. Every year the number of children awarded has grown and currently over 50 students are receiving education with monthly scholarship support from ISHWAR.
The Society commenced its artificial limb fitment activities in 1997 when it fitted 10 patients in the Endolite Prosthetic & Orthotic Centre, Delhi with ATLAS limbs free of charge. This was followed by providing artificial limbs to the victims of Karol Bagh Bomb Blasts in 1998, a gesture much lauded by the Government and by the public. Media also covered and appreciated ISHWAR’s support to the victims.
